I tore my ACL in February 2012. I played in our last few district games as well as playoff games, unaware of the extent of the injury. But as soon as the season ended I found out that I had to have surgery and would be out for six months. During the summer I had physical therapy and was up in the gym and weight room almost every day for a few weeks before school. My doctor released me to practice and play right at the beginning of this school year, so working out over the summer definately payed off. I don't let my injury slow me down now. It has made me thankful for my ability to play and I use it as motivation.
Teamwork is very important to me. It's what makes the game fun and worth playing. Our team motto is "sacrifice me for we".
Like basketball, my grades are also very important to me. If I don't pass, I don't play. I strive to get good grades and do well in the classroom. In college I will continue to work hard and get good grades.
