Personal Statement
I have been playing basketball since I was five years old. Since I first stepped on the court, I have aspired to play at the collegiate level. I have a high basketball IQ and strong ball handling skills that I work on no less than 5-6 days a week at Ball-Hard Basketball with Sean Hardman whom I have now been training with for 4 years. I have improved on my shots and have the type of shot you will remember. I also train with Martinez Martin for real game time scenarios to improve my level of play during games. I am the defender no one wants to play offensively against. I am a team leader and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I love getting my team involved in all aspects of the game. It is important as a Guard to continue to elevate my team simultaneously, because it is important we grow together. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players for any team I am a part of.
Off the court, I study hard and maintain a 3.6 GPA. I already have 26 of the 26 credits I need to graduate with to be a Senior. I have taken a couple "dual-credit" classes so that I may enter college with some standing college credits. I am also involved in the several Leadership Programs. I plan to major in Health Science with focus in a Health Career.
I want to attend a college/university where I can continue excel in the classroom and on the basketball court. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right match at the highest level of competition possible.
I know that my education and skills would be an asset to the College/University that is looking for a spark in a 2020 Guard that can transition easily on the floor during intensive games and remain effective offensively and defensively.
