Sha'dazha Williams '15 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing basketball since i was 6 years old, on this old court  behind my uncles house. He would take me back there and make work on my jump shots as well as my free throws. Basketball has been in my family for as long as i could remember, my mother was the basketball star back in my hometown. I looked up to my cousins that i got to see play growing up, always imagining my turn on that court. Being the center of everyone's attention and i knew that when i got my turn i was gone make it graduating from Waxahachie High School. I moved back and foward between my grandmother and mother as a child, that is how i ended up here in Wichita Falls Texas. It also caused me to fall behind in school, but i didn't let that stop me.  None of my family memeber's have ever got to experience basketball or anything on a different level, that is why i am determined to let them see me make it there.

I consider myself a very bright student and what keeps me going is knowing, i have nothing else to look foward to in life. It is my decision that decide my future. I am very trust worthy and you can depend on me, i just do not like to depend on others. I consider myself independent that is why when i have that basketball in my posetion  i protect it and i use it to my benifit. Don't get me wrong, i love to be apart of a team. A team is like a smaller family and considering i might be going to school far from home i'm going to need my teammates.

I try to work hard on and off the court. Setting good examples and encouraging my teammates to do the same.I do make mistakes i am human, but none i know will hurt my future in a long run. I keep my grades up to great condition, i hate failure and i refuse to fail. i am very competitive, i love a good ball game; but what i love more is a challenge. That is why i am here trying to persue much more than just the easy way out. i could do what my mom and grandmother want me to do, which is graduate and go to the navy. That to me is an easy way out, i like to work for what i want. Maybe if i work hard enough and want it bad enough i can get it.

I just want to experience the things nobody in my family hasn't before. I dream to go to the wbna one day, but my grandmother always taught me to keep  a back up plan just in case my main plan didn't work out. So i decided if I do not make it to that higher level, I want to start my own business in realestate; decorating and selling nice houses. I have big goals set for myself and I know I can accomplish them all if I just get a opportunity. My inspiration is my mom and grandmother they are the important women in my life. They play big rolls In my life as well, and I just want to make them proud.
