Keeva Mahoney '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Keeva, but i'm pretty sure you picked that up by now. I am a very caring person. I love to help people get through their problems. This is why I want to major in the field of Psychology. I think that Psychology is a very intriguing field to learn about. I would say that I am a very intelligent student. I keep my grades above a C, never anything lower. I would have to say that the subjects I like the most would have to be Math, Science(Chemistry), and Choir.  I am taking Concert choir right now my junior year. During my sophomore year I tried Musical Theatre. I really enjoyed it, yet I didn't try out for another class. I didn't feel as if I was ready to be a acting and singing, but I would to experience that life. I love to dance and also more around a lot. I find hiking pretty relaxing and enjoy going with my team mates or simply family. Now I think you would want to hear more about athletic sport and how I am doing in my sport. Well I play basketball for Granger High school. I am a starter on the Varsity team, and I'm a junior. I would have to say that I actually started to look into basketball when I was in second grade. I then went to a charter school, called Endeavor Hall. I tried out for the basketball team in 6th grade. I have only ever played for a charter school and High school. I am very dedicated to my sport. I am constantly trying to go to rec center and work on my shots and ball handling. I even play pick-up against guys who may be older me, so that I can have a challenge and learn for it. I have worked really hard on my defense. Playing with people who are taller and older that are more skilled then you tend to be a little fast. I learned to adapt my defense to their playing skills. Even though in High School not a lot of girls are going to be that skilled, but it's still a good practice. I would have to say that my offense needs a little work. The guys tend to go easy on girls, so I don't really get a challenge there. Now in practice I give it my all. All that I possibly can of course.  Basketball is my number 1 sport and I have played a decent amount of sports to say so. Now to end this paragraph me... I am a very coach-able player. You want me to do something I will try my best to do as you told me.
