Personal Statement

My name is Maria Alexandria Wilson and I am 17 yrs. old. I am a 5'9 140lb. power forward. As a freshman, I was the starting JV center. I was also the backup varsity center. Over the past year, I have been improving my skills and this year I was a starting varsity power forward. I was also able to start as the point guard and a bit of the other positions as well. Over the season I was selected for all-league. I pride myself on being a student of the game on and off the court. I train for basketball all year round with skills training, camps, and an AAU team they provide. I would love to attend a College or University in Oregon, however, I am completely open to attend a school in another state. It really doesn't matter whether I attended a Division 1 or not, instead of more important to me is that I will be able to play the game. An important factor for me when choosing a school is if they support my major which is criminal justice, and forensic science and technology.

I feel that I would be a strong factor to anyone's team, I practice and play hard and I believe in giving the team, my coach, and teachers my very best. I believe that if you do your best you won't have any time to worry about failure because the amount of effort you put in is what you'll get out of it. I will give  110% of myself to you and your team. All I ask in return is that you believe in me and my abilities.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
