Jane Hickethier '15 Recruiting Profile

From very early on, basketball has been a large part of my life and something that is very important to me. I first began playing basketball at a young age and completely fell in love with the sport. I dedicated many years to improving my skills and playing the game I love. I began playing through the YMCA in my early years. After the Y, I played through school as soon as I was of age. In fourth grade I began to play outside of school, in the Northwest League for a team out of Bloomer, WI. From fourth through my seventh grade year I played up a grade level in the Northwest League, until the grade I was playing with (Class of 2014) was no longer eligible. My eighth grade year I played with my class for a very successful year of Northwest League ball. When I was in middle school I played through Bloomer Schools, as well. My freshman year of high school (2011-2012 season) I played with the Bloomer High School JV team. Both my sophomore (2012-2013) and senior year (2014-2015) I played on Cornell High School's Varsity basketball team, under the direction of Jason Ewings and Marcus Leland. My love and devotion to basketball has been with me from early on, and I feel my dedication and hard work makes me an excellent candidate for college level basketball.
