Personal Statement
Well hello my name is Sammy:) I am currently a junior at Edgerton High School. I am a three sport athlete; the sports i play are volleyball, basketball, and track or softball. I believe that I am a very driven person, my motto is " you do what ya gotta do". It basically means that to achieve something you give it your all and at the end of the game you walk off with no regret. I remember going to my sisters games and after the game hearing her rip herself apart; saying stuff like " I should of done that" or " I need to be faster, if i was faster i could be a boss". That kind of motivated me into thinking as much as I love my sister, I don't want to think that after a game. I want to think i did my best, and maybe think of stuff i need to improve at. I grew in up in household full boys, so that alone should tell you I have a very competitive nature. I have to be that kid in class who does well, and can answer any question thrown at them. As the years progressed in High School, it got to a point where i had no social life and I made a life changing decision to make time for myself. I now have alot of friends, and a 3.5 GPA. I'm content with where i am at in my life, but I am definately looking forward to my future. I would like to go to college; where is the real question? I just know that I would like to attend a four year college, keep playing sports, thrive academically, and gain a degree in law or health areas. I would like to play basketball or volleyball in college. I hope that my verticle (23 inches), makes up for the fact that I'm only 5'7. I really do wish I could attend a college and be elidgible to play at that level. I feel i could sprout out into something great, all i need is some support and extra encouragement. My sister and brothers would really like to see me go off and become a college athlete. I don't want to just do it for them but also for myself. Ever since i was a little girl i knew athletics would be a big part of my life, and I never knew they would change as much as they have and hopefully will.
