My dream is to play basketball in college and get a great education.
Growing up, my parents always stressed the importance of excelling in whatever you do. I personally used this as a guide in school with my academics and while playing sports.
I started playing basketball at a very young age and began to fall in love with the sport when I started to play more competitively. I always try to be the best I can at everything I do. I love competing and making my teammates better by pushing them to be the best they can be too.
My coaches have always said, in order to be a great team, you need to hold each other accountable. During my club season this past year, I really took that to heart as we made sure everyone worked to improve everyday.
Three years ago, my perseverance helped lead our team to winning the 8th grade WBCA Grade School State Championship.
Overall I love playing basketball as I have learned so many life lessens that I can apply to my future and that have already helped me become a better person. Over the years I have fallen in love with playing the game and can't imagine my life without it.
I have been told by coaches that on the court, I have grit, and I am coachable. I play where my coach wants me. This means, over the last few years I have played all 5 positions on the court. I also always guard the best player. I love challenges!
