Hi! My name is Michaela Jefferson and playing volleyball in college has always been my dream. Volleyball has allowed me to develop a strong work ethic and many leadership skills. My coaches are consistently impressed by the work I put in to make sure I am the best I can be. My dedication is displayed on and off the court through my hard work at practice, in the gym, and at school.
I believe what sets me apart from other athletes is my potential for improvement. Here in Vancouver, we only get to train competitively for 3 months of the year. Because of this, I think I have much more potential than most players. Each time I have played in the US, I have seen that I can compete and keep up with these girls who play way more than me, against much better competition. I really want a chance to see what I am capable of if given the opportunity to train in a college environment.
I will continue to put in 110% of my effort towards being the best player and teammate I can be. My goal is to play at the Divison 1 level at an athletically and academically competitive school.
