Julia Jackson '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Julia Jackson, I am 17 years old and will graduate from Thousand Oaks High School in California in 2017. I have been diving for Janik Divers in Simi Valley, California since 2013 to the present. I also practice and compete for my high school team, coached by Kelly Abrams. Before diving, I was a competitive gymnast for Platinum Gymnastics for many years before deciding to switch over to diving. Gymnastics taught me the basics and some of the required skills in order to excel in the sport of diving.  I have experience with competitions as well as CIF Championships, where I placed 21st in the Semi-Finals. Along with diving, I am apart of the High School STUNT Association at my high school where our team competes in stunting, similar to the stunts in competitive cheerleading and tumbling in gymnastics. I have received multiple Varsity Letter awards as well as Scholar Athlete awards for each competition season and have maintained a high GPA throughout my years in high school.

Due to my balance between academic and athletic achievements, I believe I would be a great addition to any college diving team. I enjoy being apart of a team as well as representing the school I attend to the best of my ability as a diver.
