2023 HighlightsWhen I was growing up, I was described as a kid who would try anything. At the age of 2, my parents took me to a gymnastics class and I was hooked immediately! From that day on, I was always flipping around our house and practicing on our home air track, balance beam, trampoline, couches, anything we could flip off of! For the next 12 years, I used my fearlessness to become a strong competitive gymnast, winning many awards and trophies. When high school started, however, I was ready to try something new. My father has always encouraged me to try new things and we spoke often about the transition from gymnastics to diving. I love diving into a pit of foam, how could water be much different? We researched and found an amazing Diving coach, but he trained over an hour from our house.
After meeting this coach, I knew what my next step was: diving. My family and I decided that my desire to train for diving was the best step for me. After only 1 1/2 years, I have amazed myself with what I can do. My hard work. determination, work ethic and desire to be the best I can be in all that I do has helped me to persevere and become a strong competitive diver in my county. This year I was the District Women's Diving Champion and I was selected as second team for All Stars. My ultimate goal is to continue to be able to do what I love in college: diving and focus on the medical field.
