My name is Emma Camp, and I will be graduating in 2020 from The Walker School in Marietta, Georgia. I dive for Atlanta Diving Association under Stevie Vines and Crawford Berry (Program Director, Grant Segal). Because of my strong belief in the value of academics, it has been my goal to dive for an academically-focused institution that has a strong dive program. Prior to diving, I competed in gymnastics for seven years and was training level 9 when I left the sport. In addition to numerous State and Regional appearances, I was two time overall highest score and all-around champion at the Ozone Invitational regional meet. Even though I have been diving for such a short time, I have progressed very quickly, am a hard-worker, and am motivated to learn new dives. I practice five days a week and have been a two-year Varsity captain. Last season (2017-2018), after only diving for six months, I placed 3rd at 1A High School State and 12th at 1A-3A GHSA State. This season (2018-2019) I placed 1st at 1A High School State and 8th at 1A-3A GHSA State. I have competed both 1-meter and 3-meter lists, and I am currently working on a platform list. I am artistic and outdoorsy, but I believe that what sets me apart is my strong work ethic, dedication, and self-motivation.
