Rachael Silva '25 Recruiting Profile

I am a member of the Class of 2025 at BMC Durfee High School in Fall River, MA. When I was younger, I was a gymnast and competitive dancer. I have since moved on to compete in team sports. I am a varsity member of my high school's soccer, swim & dive and softball teams.

I got involved in diving during eighth grade, when the pandemic prevented middle school sports. I was given the opportunity to compete for the high school teams on a waiver. I felt my gymnastics background would be a good fit for diving and luckily for me, I had some excellent coaches to help me make the transition.

I have found success in diving and would like to continue competing in the sport beyond high school. I believe it suits my skillset well and I like the challenge it presents, as well as the opportunity to continually improve with each day of practice. I like to consider myself a hard worker who appreciates the efforts of my coaches. I like being part of a team and always try to be supportive of my teammates.

I also take my academics very seriously. I am enrolled in all AP and honors classes and I stay involved in school activities. I am hoping to bring all these characteristics to my collegiate years.
