Hi! My name is Kate Woelfel and I am a senior at Centennial High School! I will be competing in my 6th year of high school varsity diving. I have been competing in diving ever since the summer before 5th grade, me being 11 at the time. I practice with two different clubs and compete in AAU and USA regions and zones with ABC Diving as well as Northstar Diving Club. Before I started diving, I tried many sports such as tennis, gymnastics, soccer, and even swimming! Looking at colleges I want the programs to first fit my academic needs then my sport ideals. I’m interested in attending school for Nursing, going on to graduate and complete my BSN certification to recieve a CRNA title. I have a lot of passion for diving and these past couple of years of being helped immensely by my coaches and being pushed to greater levels has made me realize that I want to compete competitively in college.
I’ve had a lot of struggles in my time with diving but I’ve always persevered through the help of my friends, coaches and determination to be better. Currently I compete 3m and 1m springboard as my main as well as working on platform! I am a very dedicated, hardworking and upbeat person to be around both at diving and in school. For my hard work I’ve been awarded multiple All-Conference awards as well as the title of Captain for this upcoming season. Academically I’ve been on the A honor roll all while I’ve taken multiple AP classes and extracurricular activities such as Peer Leadership. I prioritize my schooling first and will go wherever that program leads me to go. I’m excited to talk to potential coaches soon!
