After being a competitive gymnast for 10 years, reaching level 9/10, I decided to make the switch to diving - and I immediately fell in love. Diving is a surprisingly obscure sport, but its uniqueness makes it all the more enticing to me. I love all of the details that go into diving, and I take joy in the process that is this tedious activity. I believe this is what has made me a successful diver - I not only have previous experience flipping and twisting in gymnastics, I also have previous experience working hard, being resilient, being coachable, being a team player, and being passionate about my sport. In addition to my diving, I work diligently at my academics and take rigorous and demanding courses. I am looking for a college that will provide me with not just a team that is the right fit for me, but will also push me academically and help me to reach my full potential. I am a STEM enthusiast and hope to enter into this field one day, more specifically as a biomedical engineer.
