Isabella Wilhelm '25 Recruiting Profile

I possess a high level of ambition, competitiveness, and determination. Additionally, I am a well-rounded individual with solid academic performance, musical proficiency in playing the piano and a gymnastics background that has aided me in excelling in swimming, diving, cheerleading, and track. I have been lifeguarding and managing the past two summers which I find enjoyable due to the sense of responsibility it entails. My family and faith are paramount to me, and I take pleasure in volunteering for community service projects whenever possible. Relocating from Geneva, IL to Charlotte, NC, a distance of 800 miles, in August 2018, was a learning experience that taught me flexibility and adaptability. My Granddad, who passed away on November 3, 2020, was an incredible role model who instilled in me an exceptional work ethic and the importance of giving my best without regrets. In memory of him, he is in my spotlight video as he always believed in me. I am enthusiastic about my future and confident in my ability to achieve anything I set my mind to. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, I learned not to worry excessively about small things and to be adaptable to changes. For instance, I transitioned from fully remote learning to hybrid learning with ease by focusing on the things I could control and being positive about my accomplishments, such as dropping time and being the best version of myself. Fall 2023, I joined the Elite Dive team for Charlotte Diving Academy and practice 5.5 hours 5x a week and also switched to virtual school to chase my dream. I will be an elite college diver in the Fall of 2025.
