My dream is to dive for a highly competitive D1 college program. Like many divers, I phased out of gymnastics in 7th grade, training 8 hr days at Level 9. I spent the next several years as a multi-sport athlete, squeezing in diving just enough to "have a list." Once I had the chance to dive daily in high school, I progressed very quickly and ended my Freshman year with a 5th place State Championship finish. I gave up the other sports that Spring and went on to win 2019 AAU Nationals (PL & 3m) and qualify for Jr Nationals (PL & 3m). I finished as a HS State bronze medalist with 2020 NISCA All-America honors just before the pandemic hit. Getting my 16-18 dives after a 5m break and then return to a reduced practice schedule (4 days a week) seemed impossible at times but I did it! Going into my Senior year, I am confident that with the hard work I put in I will get the necessary consistency in all of my dives to be a strong recruit for a college team. In the classroom, I am an A student that enjoys a challenge. Teammates would describe me as a leader; just as I train to reach my fullest potential I push my teammates to achieve theirs but am also encouraging.
