Golf has shaped the person I am today and has taught me many valuable life lessons. Golf has taught me the importance of hard-work, dedication, and patience. I played a variety of sports growing up including golf but it wasn’t until my freshman year of high school that I found my passion for the game. I became captain by my sophomore year and it has taught me a lot about leadership. In December during my sophomore year I switched swing coaches, it was difficult at first because I had to go back to basics and could barely hit a golf ball, but it ultimately taught me that sometimes things have to get worse and you have to push through it, before things can get better. I am just as dedicated to my academics, as I strive for excellence both in the classroom and on the course.
