I started golfing at around 10 or 11 years old and have loved the sport ever since. I practice daily because taking a day off would feel weird. My handicap is a 1.3 according to USGA and I am working on getting it down to 0.5 by the end of my sophomore year. I think setting goals and working hard to accomplish them is a big part of golf and growing as a person. I always challenge myself in academics and carried a 3.7 gpa in my freshman year.
I also hope to better my scores because I’ll have better facilities at my disposal as well as work on my strength. My mental game is also a very important aspect to my game . I’ve been reading books on how to improve and I will continue to study and improve on my mental game. I have also been putting even more time on my short game . I feel my wedges have been really improving so on top of that I have been spending extra time on my ten foot puts because that’s how birdies are made.
