Personal Statement
For as long as I can remember golf has impacted my life in several positive ways. I have grown to accomplish a fervid passion for golf. If I didn't play golf and work hard every day to excel and become better there would be a hole in my heart. When I started golf I was only 5 years old. I remember going to the course and barely hitting it over the hill on my local range. Since I was five I have met people who have inspired me to take my talent as far as I can. My private coach has never given up on me and continues to make me better. He tells me every day the special talent I have and can't wait to see where it takes me.
Golf isn't the only thing that is important in my life. My education will also take me far in my life. I care deeply about getting good grades and putting just as much effort in school work as golf. I have over a 4.0 gpa and I'm currently enrolled in several honors, AP, and IB classes. My school has many role models that push me to excel in my academics and sports. I'm also the treasurer of Interact club. This club gives me the opportunities to volunteer around my community and for Rotary. I love what my life has done for me so far; however, I have a great future ahead I want to accomplish.
It has been my dream for a very long time to play golf in college. I work every day to make this dream and goal become my reality. I have a very supportive team, coach, and family. If it isn't for my dad who is out there all the time with me I would not be at this level. My relationship with my dad has grown to be so strong because of golf. My entire family is extremely proud of the young woman I am becoming and my drive towards a future in college golf.
I would make a great edition to a college golf team and a university. I am an out going, bright minded, and caring person. These traits have taken me places so far. And, I can't wait to see where they continue to take me. Golf and a higher education will set me up for the rest of my life.
