From the moment I picked up my first golf club and hit a wiffle ball in my backyard, I knew I would be a golfer for the rest of my life. I enjoy competing, playing, and practicing as much as I can. I am a well rounded athlete who aspires to play collegiate golf in the near future.
I am entering my junior year at Upland High School in California. During my freshman and sophomore year, my teammates and coach recognized me as the Most Valuable Player. I qualified for CIF during my two years of high school. In addition, I was selected as a First Team 2017 Baseline League player. During the 2017 school year, my lowest scoring match was even par (35) at Upland Hills Golf Course. My highest score was 42 during league matches. My current handicap is 5.3 and my 18 hole average is 79.5.
Being a student athlete is a top priority to me. I have maintained a weighted 3.5 GPA and I am preparing to take the SAT next school year. In addition to playing golf, I am involved in student government. Teachers elected me as a freshman class representative and the student body elected me as sophomore class president. Next year, I will be the Girl’s Athletic Commissioner. I think that my work ethic, dedication and talent have prepared me to be an asset to a collegiate girl's golf team.
