My dream of becoming a professional golfer playing in the LPGA is not merely a dream but a goal. Now, my goal would be called a dream if I did not put my time and effort in it; however, my dedication and commitment towards golf exceeds the boundaries of a dream and falls into the circle of a reachable goal. Not only do I aspire to be a professional golfer, but I also strive to be a CEO of my own clothing line and to be an artist composing the songs played inside my stores.
Although what I am about to say is not included in the requirements of my personal statement, I perceive it to be important, for it is my motivation to achieve my goals. My motivation is derived from knowing my purpose. My purpose in this life is to make a change not only in my family and my friends but also in my school, my community, my nation, and my world. Do not misunderstand, I am not conveying a selfish message by saying "my" in front of family, friends, community, etc. I am only stating what I believe is true, for we live in a world full of people persevering and striving for a certain purpose. We all are, down to the core, similar despite our varying beliefs, cultures, and appearances. We are one, big family that must make amends and improvements to the corrupt and inadequate systems that trouble us.
I want to wisely use the gifts and talents that God has given me to make a difference in this world. My desire to make a difference within my family, my friends, and my people motivates me to become a professional golfer, for achieving my goal will help me to continue to live out my purpose which is to help make this world a better place for not only my generation but also for the future ones. I will continue to do my best and to practice hard in golf and in school so that I may quickly reach my goals and fulfill my purpose.
