Mckenzie Hedrick '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mckenzie Hedrick and I am a Junior at North Oconee High School.  Golf is my passion and I have been playing since I was six.  I have had a very successful sophomore year with many accomplishments both athletically and academically. My golf team won the Region 8-AAA championship and the Georgia AAA State Championship. I was named Honorable Mention for the All-State team, First Team All-Northeast Georgia for Girls Golf and voted Co-Player of the Year for the Lady Titans. My score was counted for every match and every tournament.  My average score for 9 holes was 41. The Lady Titans begin defense of our State Title when the season begins on February 18th. I also have plans to play several events on both the Peggy Kirk and Hurricane golf tours during the Spring and Summer. My handicap is 6.9. I have a personal best competition score of 78.  My goal for this Spring is to continue to increase my distance while building consistency with my longer irons and fairway woods.  As well as hitting at the range and playing on the course I am working out and hope to increase my core strength. I have an excellent work ethic both on and off the course.  My goal is to play collegiate golf for a school where I can contribute immediately to the team.   I have traveled extensively and am not opposed to living a fair distance away from my home.
