I have only been golfing for about a 2 years, but I believe I have had several accomplishments to be proud of. During my first year of golf I was able to reduce my score by an average of 25 strokes bringing my average to 90 for 18 holes. I made the High School Varsity Golf team and became a starter after the 2nd match of the season. I was part of the team that placed 2nd in the areas (first in our county and 7th individually). Because of our teams’ results we qualified for the State tournament and during that event our team placed 4th. At the start of my second high-school season, I was able to reduce my score from he previous 90 to an improved 85. In addition to my golf accomplishments, I play Varsity softball and participated in that State tournament as well. However, none of the above would have been accomplished if it weren't for academics. For me, school comes before sports, so having good grades is something I strive for. I plan to complete my high-school career with a 4.0 GPA and to be in the top 10% of my class. I plan to carry my academic commitments on to the college level. While I am not certain of my desired major, I am leaning toward either Criminal Justice or Business Management with a primary focus on Golf Course Management.
