Personal Statement

I started playing golf with First Tee when I was 7 years old and have loved it ever since. For the last 4 years, I have been competing in tournaments both for my high school team and on my own which has helped me grow both as a golfer, and as a person. As a current Junior, this was be my 3rd year playing Varsity 1 for my team. Having a team to play for has exponentially increased my personal commitment both to the game of golf and my school.

I am a calm personality who can adapt to any situation I’m put in either on the course or socially. I am dedicated both to golf and my academic career. I have continued to maintain my 4.0 GPA while working hard over the season to drop my average score from 90 at the start of summer, to my current average of around 80 with a handicap of 8.8. I am just finished my high school season and finished 11th in the state for all 6A schools. As we head into Winter, I am working on setting new goals to strengthen not only my mental game but also to dial in course management skills.

I’m excited about the opportunity to play at the college level, and I know that I will be a great addition to your team both academically and athletically.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
