I only started pursuing golf 5 years ago, but after my first tournament, I knew I wanted to play golf at a collegiate level. Being a part of a team creates a special atmosphere that draws me towards college golf.
In my final year in high school, I juggled the roles of House Captain, Boarding House Committee and a rower. By undertaking these various responsibilities, I managed my time to balance studies with extracurricular activities, which I believe will help me excel in golf as well as in my studies.
The feeling of playing a solid game pushes me to work harder and improve on the things I'm weak at. In three months, I have lowered my handicap from 12 to 8 and believe that with my determination and resilience, I will continue to improve my physical and mental state in golf.
I hope to attend a college that encourages players to have a balance in their sports and studies, as well as having a strong team spirit.
