I was introduced to golf at a very young age and played in my first U.S. Kids Golf Tournament at the age of six with the help of my dad. After that first tournament, my competitive energy kicked in, and I knew I wanted to continue playing the game. Playing golf in college would be the perfect way to continue my golf journey.
I have spent years working on each part of my golf swing and countless hours making three-footers. I can take honest feedback from coaches and am one of the hardest workers on and off the golf course. When frustrated, I remind myself that I can't give up on my younger self's dreams.
In the classroom, I complete all my assignments on time and am dedicated to studying in order to maintain a high GPA. I lead a buddy program that helps elementary school students bond with high school students, and I have previously worked on training therapy dogs.
I want to attend a college where I can continue to learn and grow into the best version of myself. I am open to many options, but I will ultimately pick the college team with the highest level of competition because I want to continue pushing myself as a golfer. I want to prove that people can do whatever they want as long as they work for it.
