Personal Statement

Starting off, one of the most important things to me about being an athlete is being Positive. As a player on a TEAM, there is no I in team. Being able to help everyone by bringing the joy to the team or making others smile is something I take pride in. I am also confident in expressing that I am a fairly easy player to coach. I love being able to learn something new from a coach or mentor, and growing myself as a player because there is always room for improvement. This is one of the biggest things I've learned throughout my journey with golf. On that note, I love growing relationships with others. When talking about staying positive, I can always bond with players amongst showing them the faith I have in the team or the love I have for them personally. Growing with people is just as helpful as growing on your own as an individual player. Golf is as much an individual sport, as it is a team sport. Building relationships with my coaches and teammates only helps, but never hurt my golf game. Supporting others to get the same support back is extremely important to succeed in my golf career. Adding on to that, having personal confidence and GRIT to push myself to the next level is something that is always used during golf and daily life. I am hungry to beat the expectations and strive above standards. I am willing to be next level. I am dedicated and willing to work hard. Overall, one thing that I have learned in life that has been a constant derivative in my heart is love. Love for the sport, people that play it, and coaches that coach it. Having love in my heart and showing my compassion has never left me falling short. Golf is a sport you have to love because it will test you mentally and physically. I am so excited to continue the path that I have been walking and be a valued player.

  • Tournament Score --- Course Yardage --- Slope/Rating --- Place taken out of number of competitors --- Summary of event 74-72 ---- 6,950 yards --- 72.8/139 --- 2/59 players --- The course played tough as there was a lot of rain the night before so the fairways were soft, but so were the greens so it took a little bit of time to get the speed and reaction of the greens. I hit 22/28 fairways and 26/36 fairways over the two days. Definitely want to improve my ability to hit greens and take advantage of the birdie opportunities.
