My name is Rachel Bowen and I’m currently a junior at Alexandria Area High School. I grew up in a golf family; both my dad and older brother played high school golf and my dad played college golf. I started playing golf when I was four years old and have been playing competitively since age ten. I began playing varsity golf as a eighth grader and I fell in love with the competition and the relationships that golf brought me. My short term goal is to finish my high school career as one of the top players in the state and to help my team advance to state again. Long term, my goal is to play on a competitive collegiate golf team and build relationships with my coaches and teammates. I love the game and I am playing as much competitive golf as I can. I am a hard worker and committed to the work it will take to be a leader on a collegiate team on and off the course. I believe what sets me apart is my faith and high standards I have set for myself. I strive to be the best golfer I can by pushing myself everyday at practice. I do my best in all areas of my life, and am a leader to those around me. I am excited to see where God leads me through my passion for golf.
