Emily Doeden '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Emily Doeden and I will be a senior at Park Christian High School in Moorhead, MN.  I am 5’7” and 120 pounds.  My goal is to identify a college that fits me academically, culturally, spiritually, and athletically.  I have been a member of the Park Christian varsity girl’s golf team since 7^th grade.  I was elected team captain as a freshman, sophomore, and junior and have participated in the MN State A Golf Tournament as an 8^th grader (28^th place), freshman (T9th place), sophomore (T2nd), and junior (T3rd).  My golf game has steadily improved over the past five years and my goal is to continue my golf career in college.

Academics are an important factor in my college choice and I plan to pursue a degree in Elementary Education.  I have always enjoyed spending time with children and have volunteered at church as a small group leader for Sunday School.  Music is also a big part of my life.  I am involved with leading music for Chapel at school as well as at church.  I sing and play the guitar.

My passion for golf escalated four years ago when my family purchased a home on a golf course.  I spend hours in my new “backyard” practicing all facets of my game.  As a college golfer I want to be recognized as someone who loves the Lord, a leader, friend, encourager, positive role model, and great golfer.
