Hello, my name is Massey Hayes. I am a 2027 graduate who started golfing in August of 2023. Two years my high school did not have a girl's golf team, so I met with other girls who wanted to play golf at my school and led them through the process of getting the idea before the school board. We talked to the Board of Education at my high school, Bakersfield High School, and got a girl's golf team started. Our first season was in the fall of 2024. My goal for my golf career is to go to college on a golf scholarship, earn my doctorate in psychiatry, start a practice, and inspire other young golfers. I am very coachable and will always put in the work to improve. I spent a large amount of my summer traveling to many tournaments in Arkansas and Oklahoma. I have a 3.98 GPA. I have been in the National Honor Society since 7th grade. My schoolwork and grades are important to me, and they are something I strive to keep up. I expect nothing but quality work from myself, both on the course and in the classroom. I am always pushing myself to be a better person, better student, and better golfer, and I am constantly seeking out ways to help others in any way I can. My faith is very important to me, and I am always trying to glorify God through my character and my works. If I get chosen for a college team, I will always put 110% into my studies and my game, and I will always be there for my teammates. I would be a great asset to any college and would put forth all of my effort into my game and my studies.
