My name is June Doerr, and I have been playing competitive golf since I discovered and fell in love with the sport when I was six years old. I have been the number one player on the high school boy’s varsity golf team for the past three seasons (we do not have a separate girl’s team). I am originally from Dripping Springs, Texas, but have lived in Hampton Falls, New Hampshire for the past 4 years. Moving from Central Texas to the Northeast was a great opportunity for me to grow my game. I learned new wedge shots, how to optimize carry, and different approaches for course management to tackle the golf courses in New England. I believe the best part of my game is my attitude, it allows me to recover from bad shots and even Spieth it! I can always rely on my irons and enjoy creating new shots for different situations. I am always trying to improve my woods, allowing for more carry to be able to attack the course. Over this past winter I have been focusing on increasing swing speed to be able to meet my goals. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, working out, crafting, and sewing, and volunteering with the First Tee of New Hampshire. My goal is to continue playing team golf in college, and volunteering to encourage other young players and girls who share my love of the game. After college my goal is to make it onto the LPGA tour.
