Playing golf since the age of seven, I have continuously worked to challenge myself and improve my skill set. Challenging myself does not stop at golf; I continue to do this through my other activities and school work. Whether it be auditioning for a new role in school productions or by taking some of the most rigorous courses offered at my high school, a challenge never holds me back.
I am a three-sport varsity athlete at my high school and an active leader in our two theatre productions every year. In addition to these activities, I participate and lead multiple clubs on campus, all while working on my academics. Some of my school-related achievements include First Honors, the National Honor Society, the National Latin Honor Society, the Citizenship Award, and SIA's Tiger Scholar. I have also been awarded in the athletic department, receiving 2nd place in the 2017 PSAA Varsity Girls Division Championship and 1st place in the 2018 PSAA Varsity Girls Division Championship. Additionally, I was a captain of my school's team during my junior year and will continue to be in my senior year.
Although playing golf is a passion of mine, volunteering is as well. Fortunately for me, I have been able to combine the two. I spend a significant amount of my year volunteering with Making the Turn Golf Academy's Top Flighter Program, one that allows children with special needs to learn and play the game of golf. Since the eighth grade, I have been so lucky to mentor and befriend Gabby who is diagnosed with Myofibrillar Myopathy. We have the best time together and truthfully, I believe that she has taught me more about golf than I have taught her; she teaches me what it is to embody a strong character with never-ending determination. I have also volunteered at my parish food pantry since 2012 on Saturday's. Volunteering has also led me to earning both my Girl Scout Silver and Gold Awards.
