Golf wasn't always my focus. At a young age, basketball had my heart. It wasn't long after practicing on the court with my family, that we moved to the course. Never the less, I still lace up my shoes on the Varsity Women's Basketball Team at Falls Lake Academy.
I started playing golf at age 11, but have grown up around the sport my entire life. I have always enjoyed playing, however, my love for the game grew when I played my first varsity golf match as a freshman. Ever since that moment, I have envisioned myself playing at the next level. Not only am I competitive in my high school matches, but also on the weekends when I compete against my dad and all his golfing buddies.
Not only do I strive to improve on the course, but in the classroom as well. Academically, I have maintained a 3.6 or higher GPA throughout high school. My goal is to graduate having improved my academic standing each year.
I am fortunate enough that my teammates look to me as a leader and loyal teammate. I plan to take these qualities with me at the collegiate level. My end goal is to stay determined, work hard, and be the best student-athlete I can be.
