Madison Fankboner '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Madison Fankboner, a 16-year-old student-athlete currently enrolled at John T. Hoggard High School (Class of 2025).

Over the past three years, I have had the privilege of being a member of the Varsity Women's golf team, an experience that has not only shaped my skills on the course but has also been instrumental in my personal growth. My love for golf began in 2016, my first year of playing PGA Junior golf. Since then, the sport has become more than a pastime; it's a passion that has evolved with every swing, putt, and round played.

While the individual accomplishments, such as earning 1st team All-Conference in 2023 and securing 2nd team All-Conference in both 2022 and 2021, are gratifying, the lessons learned from teamwork are more important. Golf, to me, is not just a sport but a team effort that builds connections and celebrates victories together, both on and off the course.

Navigating the balance between academics and athletics has been a learning experience that I've met with determination. As I consider the possibility of continuing my golf journey at the collegiate level, I am eager to bring not only my skills but also my excitement for the game to your program. I believe in contributing not just as a player but as a positive team member.
