Hi, my name is Kelsey Koesters and I am now a Senior at Coldwater High School in Coldwater, Ohio. I hold a 4.16 GPA on a 4.0 scale and have taken the ACT in October and April scoring a best composite of 24. I am looking to take the ACT at least one more time this coming October of my Senior year. I am involved in many school clubs, along with three varsity sports Golf, Bowling, and Softball. I stay busy year around, which to me is not always a bad thing. I have many highlights in my golfing career. My school Conference is the MAC (Midwest Athletic Conference) well known for football, but has many strong athletes throughout. All 3 years of high school, I have been named to the first team and the last 2 years I have been honored the MAC Girl's Golfer of the Year. I hold Coldwater girl's nine hole record of 34 and 18 hole record of 72. As a Junior, I won the LCC Lady Thunderbird Invite shooting a 74 at Hawthorne Hills in Lima, Ohio. This invite is well known with many Division I schools in Ohio participating. Also as a Junior, I advanced to the Division II State Tournament. At the tournament I shot a two day total of 160 (82, 78) finishing 10th. This past summer I played in a few higher ranked tournaments along with the local Lima Junior Golf Association tournaments. It was a very good experience and I learned a lot. I have many goals for high school and college. One of my goals was to make the Hall of Fame at my high school. Any athlete that makes 1st team all Ohio gets their picture placed on the wall with many others, some being so old their pictures are not in color. Being a part of that, and having future athletes look up to you and think they can accomplish something great means a lot to me. I was surprised this past winter when I finished runner up in the Ohio Girls State Bowling Tournament to another girl on my team. Both of us were given 1st Team all Ohio recognition and our pictures hang with many others in the cafeteria. Another goal I have is to graduate with honors, I take my schooling seriously and try my hardest to get good grades. I want to be happy with what ever I choose to do in college, and I don't want my high school grades or choices to hold me back. I dream to go on and play golf at the collegiate level. I live in a small town, with many neighboring towns that are just like us. Golf is not the big sport in the area, so getting to play with some very good players is a dream of mine. I want to earn a degree in college that will allow me to receive job that will support me through out the rest of my life. I want to attend a school that can offer me some of the best education I can receive the field I decide to study.
