11/2024 Highlight...I began swinging a golf club at the age of eight, thanks to my mom and uncle Bill, who introduced me to the sport. Their passion for golf inspired me, and they remain two of the best golfers I’ve ever known. Their support has been instrumental in shaping my love for the game.
While I started playing at a young age, my true appreciation for golf developed during my freshman year. That year was a turning point: I made new friends, traveled across Texas, and gained a deeper understanding of the rules and etiquette of the game. Discovering my own skills only fueled my excitement. Golf has become a significant part of my life, and the course is my happy place—a serene environment where I’ve formed lasting friendships with people of all ages who encourage me and help me grow.
My goal is to continue playing golf at the collegiate level. I love the challenge it presents, both against opponents and myself. It’s a continuous journey of improvement, striving for lower scores and a better overall game. Golf has taught me resilience and self-belief, and I’m incredibly grateful to my family for introducing me to this sport and supporting my journey.
As Matthew 19:26 says, “With God all things are possible.” I trust in His guidance and appreciate the talent He has given me, along with the joy and friendships that golf has brought into my life.
Receiving offers or a scholarship to play golf would be a dream come true, and I’m thankful to all the coaches and mentors who have helped me reach this point.
