My name is Lilli Wehmeyer. I am a senior at Forney High School and I have been a part of the FHS varsity golf team since my freshman year. I have also been a part of the Student Council for 3 years. I am also a member of the North Texas Junior PGA. I am also an active member of the student ministry at FBC Forney and have been on a mission trip to Phoenix, Arizona with them.
I have been playing golf since I was 10 years old. I started with the First Tee of Dallas and learned the basics of the game and how to have good character and keep a good attitude in the game of golf. Since then I have been working and practicing to improve my game and achieve my goals. I believe that I can bring a lot to a team. I am always encouraging my teammates and my opponents. When I am playing a round of golf I always try to keep a positive attitude and not compare myself to others. Before every tournament I always try to make goals in my head of things that I can accomplish and I work hard to meet those goals. I have recently started working with a new private coach and have been working hard to improve my game and swing. I have seen improvement in my scores throughout my most recent tournaments.
My goal is to get a scholarship to play golf in college. Another one of my goals is to major in nursing so I can become a Neonatal ICU Nurse. The reason i have chosen nursing as my career path is because I enjoy helping others and I enjoy working with children.
