Golf has been a driving force in my life since I can remember, and it continues to be so. I enjoy the challenge, the competition, and the opportunity to learn.
My love for golf began when I was four years old when my dad took me to the driving range.
As I continue to develop my game, I enjoy competing, working hard, and challenging myself to excel.
Golf has taught me so much about life and character development that it has truly shaped the person I am today.
I have been competing in tournaments since I was 7 years old.
I have been extremely fortunate to have competed in PGA Jr. League, Middle School Tournaments, North Texas PGA (NTPGA) Prep, Medalist, All American Tour, TJGT tournaments, AJGA Qualifiers, and other local tournaments.
I have been participating in my Club's Junior Championship, and have been fortunate to have won my age division. I am looking forward to playing in the junior open division this year.
I love playing High School Golf and the relationships that have been founded through it. As a freshman, I made my high school varsity team and competed in all of our high school varsity golf competitions, finishing in the top 10 in all of our tournaments throughout the year.
In my freshman year, I advanced to state individually even though we did not have a girls' team. I was in 5th place after the first day and ended up finishing 8th in the TAPPS 5A State Championship.
During my sophomore season, my team and I won Districts and Regionals as a team. I placed second individually in both Districts and Regionals advancing to state as an individual, and with my team. As a team, we finished 2nd in the state, and I finished 9th individually as a sophomore. Even though I had a rough first day, I made sure not to let that get in the way on the second day and finished strong.
As a sophomore, my high school recognized and presented me with the MVP player of the year award for my High School Girls' golf team for the second year in a row. I felt incredibly honored, and I am looking forward to what we can accomplish as a team this year.
I was also awarded 1st Team All-State individually during my sophomore year.
I recently played in the TJGT Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship Local Qualifier. This is a two-stage qualifying tournament, and I finished in the top five during the local qualifier to be invited to the two-day Regional qualifier. I also had the opportunity to compete in an AJGA Qualifier this summer in Tulsa, Oklahoma. At the end of my summer tournament schedule, I won first place with a 76 at Frisco Lakes Golf Club from 5,600 yards.
I am determined to keep improving and eventually play in college and beyond!
