Hi, I am Leilani,
I'm currently a Senior at Ray Braswell High School located in Aubrey,Tx, outside of the Dallas Metroplex. I initially started golfing when I was ten years old at The First Tee Denver. I later played other sports during middle school which drifted me away from golf. During my Freshman year at Ranchview High school located in Irving, Tx. I decided to re-kindle my interest in the game while also playing competitive basketball. I was playing junior varsity for both sports since I was a multi-athlete. After many practices and long talks Ranchview's golf coach, Coach Kevin Kelson, urged me to focus all my attention on golf because I am a natural athlete. When I relocated to Ray Braswell High school in Aubrey,Tx I decided to dedicate my full attention to developing my golf skills. I joined the junior varsity team my sophomore year under my current coach , Coach Joe Curtis. Throughout these past two years under his supervision, I can truly say that he has not only assisted in improving my physical game but also the strong mentality required to get through 18 holes, which he often says makes me a very coach-able athlete. I have devoted my time the past two summers participating in NTPGA Junior Tour Tournaments around the DFW Metroplex.
My goal is to continue to improve and play at the collegiate level. When I go to college, I plan to major in Physical Therapy because as a high school athlete I've come to understand how important it is to take care of your body. Therefore, I would like to focus my studies on the human physique and physical training. I am open to the option of attending college nationwide.
I am currently a member of the National Society of High School Scholars with a weighted GPA of 3.60.
