Makayla Pike '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Makayla Pike, I am a Senior at Stony Point High School.  Academics are very important to me, and I plan to attend a college/university that will offer many opportunities and has a strong academic reputation.  I am interested in Agriculture Education and my goal is to attend a college/university that has an established program.

I am passionate when I am competing on a golf team, striving to do everything possible to help my team succeed and win.  It has been an honor to be captain on the varsity golf team in my junior year and lettered with the varsity golf team as a freshman/sophomore.  I was able to stay focused and be a dedicated student and athlete while participating in both FFA & Golf.

As a member of FFA; I currently hold the office of Secretary as a Junior and show on the swine team.  I just recently was voted in for another term for my Senior year as Treasurer.  My animals have shown blue ribbon/reserve class champion my sophomore and junior year.

Playing golf and acquiring an education at the same time is a challenge that I am looking forward to and ready for.  My commitment is to play with confidence and always bring a positive attitude to the task.

My goal for the future is to attend a school that can challenge me academically and allow me to pursue my passion for the sport of golf.
