I was 5 years old when I first picked up a golf club. It was through a school program looking to build interest in the sport. Golf came naturally to me, and I developed a love for it, a passion. I began playing competitively at around 10 years old, so I've gained tons of tournament experience over the last 7 years. Jump to my freshman year of high school, I transferred to a 1A school for academic purposes and was ineligible to participate in any varsity activity, due to a UIL regulation for transfer students. I was able to turn this obstacle into an opportunity, I worked harder than ever to make sure I would be ready for the next season, and I used this time to grow closer to my teammates and support them on their way to state. Sophomore year I advanced to state individually and with the team. I got 11th place overall out of 110 players. This past year at state, I moved up in rankings and placed 7th out of 100 or so players. My goal for senior year is to be within the top 3 at state. After high school, I'd like to play golf at the collegiate level and major in Health/Medical, and in turn pursue a career as a pediatric neurosurgeon.
I'm patient, determined, and a team player. I have good grades and a good mindset. I've never met a challenge that I wouldn't face head on with everything I've got. I believe I would be a great candidate for your team, and I can't wait to see what the future holds!
