Personal Statement
I am from Plain City Utah and have a passion for golf. I am 6’1” and have started on the varsity golf team at Fremont High School for the past 3 years and plan to continue that for my fourth year in the upcoming season, I have also served as a team leader. I have lettered in golf since I was a freshman and made second team all-state last year as a junior. I also had the opportunity to coach a junior’s clinic with my own golf coach and get those youth excited and motivated in this great sport. When I’m not on the course I’m on the court playing volleyball as a varsity middle blocker, or in the choir room working with my schools audition choir. I also have done a lot of community service with my religious group and volunteer at the Veterans Home with the National Honor Society. I also am a peer tutor for the special needs kids at my school and get to help them with their schooling and in the clinic I taught I got the chance to teach golf to autistic kids and work with them. I am looking for a University that can help me excel both in the classroom and on the course. My education is very important to me and I want to be able to have an environment that I can take what I learn and turn it into a successful career. I am looking for a journalism program so I can continue to pursue my love for golf onscreen if it is not on the course. Overall I want to make a positive influence on the community that I become a part of and the teammates that I get to play the sport I love with.
