Hello, my name is Sydney Stenson, and I am 2024 graduate out of Chiawana High School in Pasco, WA
I love golf because it is a challenging game. No shot is ever the same and it is a mental battle to keep a level head on the course. I also love playing golf because of the people you meet along the way and the bonds that are formed over the course of the season. I am very interested in playing golf after high school.
Academically, I am currently sitting at 11th in my class out of 666 kids. I have maintained a 3.98/4.00 GPA over the last three years, and that includes College in the High School classes. I am a member of the National Honor Society, an officer in Key Club, a youth member on Pasco Police's Chiefs Advisory Council, an active member in my Superintendents Student Action Council and a past Student Board Representative on the Pasco School district board. I also help coach a kid's camp during the summer.
Golf has been a big part of my high school career. Athletically, I've been playing in a varsity position since I was a freshman, and my scores have only improved since I've been playing. I currently shoot in the low to mid 90s, with my lowest score on 18 holes being 83. I shot a 184 in district and secured the fourth spot to Washington State Golf 2023 by winning a play-off round. I have been awarded on my team the "Most Improved" my Freshman and Sophomore year and awarded "Player of the Year" my junior year. I also made Second Team All-Conference my Junior year.
