Personal Statement:
Collegiate Goals and Aspirations
Over the years my mind has jumped to many different professions that interest me, however marketing, physical therapy and psychology have always been at the top of my list. I am certain that whatever my major will be, I want to make a difference and impact the people around me. I see golf as a wonderful opportunity to help me improve on making a difference and impacting not only the people around me, but my future teammates as well.
What Makes Me the Perfect Teammate
My hardworking ethic on and off the golf course combined with my positive attitude and team building skills is something I take great pride in. These are skills I work on perfecting every day. On the course I am a dynamic player and positive influence to my team. I love interacting with people and helping fellow teammates with their game on and off the golf course. I am a teammate that you will enjoy playing with. I conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the course, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects my team, coaches and school. I have only golfed competitively for 2 years, and in that short amount of time, I have become a leader, and a teammate that you can count on. Golf is my passion, you can count on me to continue to work hard and lead by example.
What Makes Me Different: Academics, Athletics and Character
Next to golf, school is something that is very serious to me. I’m not afraid to be outstanding to others, because being your best self is something I believe strongly in. While maintaining a 3.8 GPA, I am also involved with several activities and clubs at my school, such as; LINK, Student Council, and Captain for the Girls’ Soccer team. My grades, work ethic and leadership skills have contributed to special opportunities and recognition. As a Sophomore, I was chosen as 1 of only 50 students from my high school to participate in a Communications Retreat for Leadership. As a Junior, I was selected as 1 of only 5 students from my high school to participate in the Center for Applied Professional Studies (CAPS) Hack-a-Thon in St. Louis, Missouri. At the CAPS Hack-a-Thon I was a team captain, and helped lead our team to 1st Place! Additionally as a Junior, I had the honor of being inducted into Oconomowoc High School history, with one of the school’s top golf scores of all time with a 38 (+1). Outside of my athletics and academics, I enjoy being outside, hiking, biking, and running. I am very sociable and love spending time with friends and family.
