Gymnastics is not only a sport I do, it is a lifestyle I live. Unlike most sports, which have on and off seasons, gymnastics requires a dedication that is hard to find in most people, especially teenagers. This sport not only brings out the best in me but constantly challenges me to be a better version of myself everyday. Gymnastics has been a major part of my life since I was three years old and I continue to be proud of my accomplishment and look forward to the next trial; my most recent being winning floor at nationals this past season.
I am extremely self-disciplined, tough minded, and very goal oriented. I am a strong leader with a positive mindset; this past season I was voted team captain by my teammates and coaches and plan to run next season as well.
I have maintained a GPA above a 4.5 all of high school; I take the most advanced classes available, have won multiple academic awards, and belong to multiple academic societies. I have done all this while juggling being part of the Mayor's Youth Advisory Committee and my school’s book club. This year I have applied to be part of the Governor's Youth Commission and will be part of my high school’s cheer team. Education is of great importance to me; I love gymnastics and it would be a dream come true, being able to use the sport I love to further my academic education.
I am looking forward to finding a school that can help me further my dreams of being a lawyer while giving me the amazing experience of being a college athlete.
