I just finished 4th All-Around in the Western National Championships! Not only that, but my score was high enough to have actually won the Easterns as well, so I suppose you could say that I finished 4th in the nation! In the SoCal State Championships, I placed first on floor and second on bars. Additionally at WOGA earlier in the season, I placed first on bars, second all-around, second on floor, and third on vault.
I have a somewhat non-traditional path as I didn’t start competitive gymnastics until I was 12. Which means that this sport was my choice, not merely something I’ve done year after year since the age of four like many of my teammates. I was the 2022 Region 1 Xcel Platinum All-Around Champion and since then have progressed 5 levels in three years. My skills acquisition and mastery trajectory is steep, which is the direct result of my work ethic and determination. But I feel like I’m just getting started and believe I could be a major contributor to your team.
I’ve been training hard both in the gym and out. At my strength and conditioning gym, I’ve been accepted into an elite group called, “The Initiated” which only a few high school athletes ever, across all sports, girls and boys, have ever achieved. It’s a grueling circuit challenge of extreme isometric exercises that tests the limits of strength, stamina and will.
On top of that, I maintain a rigorous academic schedule almost as demanding as what I dedicate to my workouts. All of my classes are AP courses for which I earned straight-A’s and a 5.0 GPA for both the fall and spring semesters. That effort brought my cumulative GPA to a 4.5 overall. I also have two Pasadena City College courses completed (both A’s), I'm taking one more over the summer and plans for more next school year.
I love to train and compete. In fact, I live for it. I not only want to be a member of your team, I want to help you win championships. I would love to talk to you about how I might be able to fit into your rotation. Please send me an email or text if you’re interested in learning more or expanding the conversation.
