Desiree Abron '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Desiree Abron, but most people just call me Dez.

I’m a highschool junior (class of 2025), at Forest Charter School, which is a small public charter school in Truckee, California. I train mostly with Mig O’Hara in Reno, Nevada and I compete as a level 10 with Vanessa Atler and Central Coast Gymnastics in San Luis Obispo, California. As of right now, I’m a bars/beam specialist due to a patella subluxation (it likes to take vacations) knee problem. Gymnastics has my whole heart, and I hope more than anything to continue doing it through college and see where that journey takes me! 

As for my place in the world of academics, I have a 4.41 GPA with honors and AP/community college classes. Obviously, I intend to continue to learn and earn and maintain a nerdy amount of A’s. I love studying anything sciency or in the world of creative writing, but my greatest passion (besides doing flips all day), has always been music. I literally live for playing, performing, and most of all, writing music, which I hope to pursue and study in college and beyond.
