Since starting gymnastics at age four, it's become a huge part of who I am. Now, on the verge of completing Level 10, I reflect on a journey filled with highs and lows. Breaking my knee at nine was incredibly tough, sidelining me for a year. Once I was strong enough to return to gymnastics, I began visiting college camps to surround myself with the gymnasts I admired. These experiences fueled my comeback, leading to a Level 7 state championship. Since then, I've consistently pushed myself, including a second-place finish at Level 9 Easterns.
Over the years, I've learned to balance gymnastics with my many other interests, particularly my passion for academics, where I maintain a 3.8 GPA. I also enjoy tutoring math in a free program at a local library. While I'm currently exploring Pharmaceuticals or Law as possible college majors, I'm already taking electives in both areas next year to further those interests. Competing at the collegiate level would be an incredible next step, allowing me to push my athletic limits and contribute to a team of amazing gymnasts. My dream is to not only pursue this higher level of gymnastics but also to inspire younger athletes, just as I was inspired during my own journey.
