For me gymnastics represents a big part of my life, I’ve been practicing gymnastics since I was 5 years old, but It wasn’t until I turned six that I began high-performance. Gymnastics has taught me countless lessons, but one of the most important, and one that deeply defines who I am, is perseverance. I consider myself a very perseverant person. Whenever I set a goal, my mind tours around it and starts working towards my goal. I always have to find a way to achieve it.
I am also a really hard-working person. I believe that when something is challenging and requires immense effort, the satisfaction of achieving it becomes even greater. This mindset has driven me to embrace challenges with determination and optimism.
A moment that I will never forget and that was one of the best ones of my life was when I found out that I made the national team. This achievement happened in 2022, for the Rio de Janeiro Junior Pan American Championship. I was at home when my mom called me to share the news with me. We were both overjoyed and I felt one of the greatest happiness of my life. It was the moment I realized that all my efforts had been worth it.
I feel I would be a great asset for your team. I like to put all my effort on the things I do. I’m always the first to get to the gym and the last to leave. I also support a lot all of my other teammates and get along with them really well. Since I was a child I’ve always dreamed to compete at college level. I aspire to compete as a freshman and make a meaningful impact to the team.
Attending college is important to me because it would allow me to continue pursuing gymnastics while studying my dream major which is nutrition and dietetics. I am open to any opportunities that could support me and my parents financially, enabling me to continue both my education and the sport I love.
Gymnastics has been far more than just a sport for me—it has shaped the person I am today. It has taught me perseverance, discipline, and the value of hard work. It has also shown me how to face setbacks with resilience and grace. These lessons extend far beyond the gym, influencing every aspect of my life. I am proud of the journey I’ve had so far, and I am excited to see where my dedication and passion will take me in the future
